Just months before, Facebook reached their 500 million users milestone. However, the social network doesn’t stop there and still piled on having more users. According to a source close to the company, Facebook’s user count has just passed the 750 million mark though the company has not come out to confirm the figure. Probably it is holding until it reaches the 1 billion user point before it makes another official announcement.
Despite the increase in numbers, Facebook faces some signs of troubles, particularly in countries where Facebook was adopted quickly. The site "Inside Facebook" reported that the company has lost approximately 6 million users in the U.S. and about 1.5 million users in Canada during the month of May this year. The report said that the social network is still growing in members throughout the world, but not in established markets like the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Russia. The gains are reportedly coming from countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil and Mexico, where Facebook was introduced later.
