FIC introduces two new graphics cards – the FIC A96X and the
FIC A98X. The A96X is based on the ATi Radeon 9600 series graphics engine,
representing an unparalleled combination of cinematic and high-performance
functionality. While the A98X, using an ATi Radeon 9800 series solution,
provides real-time cinematic pixel precision and blazing fast clock speeds.
A96X – FIC’s A96X delivers exceptional power by leveraging the latest advances
in ATi engineering. Four parallel rendering pipelines support a pixel fill rate
of 2.0 Gpixels/sec. While it’s dual-channel DDR memory interface supports a 128
MB configuration. The Radeon 9600 XT based A96X also has an engine clock rate of
500 MHz and a memory clock rate of 600 MHz, delivering faster performance for
the mainstream segment.
A98X – The A98X by FIC also takes advantage of advanced ATi engineering,
delivering cinematic graphics with a new level of quality and consistency. The
A98X features 8 programmable rendering pipelines processing up to 3.3 Gpixels/sec.
It also supports 256 MB configurations with its high-performance quad-channel
DDR memory interface. In addition, the FIC A98X has an engine and memory clock
rate of 412 MHz and 365 MHz, respectively. All of these features make it the
fastest and most visually advanced graphics technology in the world.
Both the A96X and the A98X feature the industry’s most established Visual
Processing Unit (VPU), and the only one now in its 3rd generation. As an added
bonus, each graphics card will be bundled with the PC game Half Life 2.
Developed by Valve Software, Half Life 2 is one of the most highly anticipated
games of the year.
