How long have the enthusiasts been waiting for a ATi RD600
Motherboard? At least close to 6 months now. But this thirst will be quenched
nefore the end of this year. We take a first look at the DFI RD600 Motherboard
that will be launched before the year ends and DFI’s 680i SLI Motherboard, soon
to be launched early next year.

This is the final retail version of the motherboard.

 

3 PCI Express Slots, with the first 2 for running Cross Fire.

 

A wide chipset heatsink resides on the RD600 chipset. From what I’ve heard,
the chipset will not be actively cooled for the retail versions, as it runs
much cooler than the 680i.

 

ATi RD600 Northbridge.

 

6-phase Digital PWM spec’ed to run up to 200A of current in
total.
