Over at the I/O panel, we get the usual USB ports, 7.1 Realtek Audio and Gigabit Ethernet. The inclusion of a legacy PS/2 port here should please the OCD overclockers, and a choice of four different display connectors including HDMI and DisplayPort will delight the triple-display Eyefinity aficionados, although we think hardly anyone uses analog VGA anymore in the age of stupid 16:9 HD monitors.
As mentioned previously, the A85 FCH provides EIGHT 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 capability. This makes complete sense to anyone building a cheap NAS or the next Megaupload.
The slot layout is pretty standard, with a gap of two spaces separating the two primary PCIe x16 slots (the 2nd slot is electrically x8 only) which means even ASUS's mammoth DirectCU II cards can be used here.
