Foursquare for Windows Phone has received an update that completely redesigns the interface. It was developed by Foursquare with the help of Nokia and Microsoft and optimized for Lumia phones.
It seems like today is the day where some popular Windows Phone apps are receiving facelifts. Today, Foursquare has received an update that completely changes the interface. The new design was done by the developers at Foursquare in conjunction with Microsoft and Nokia, and optimized for Lumia phones.
The new design definitely indicates that Microsoft had a hand in designing it considering it very much resembles the metro-style interface they have been pushing accross their devices and applications. The app is now a lot lighter too opting for a white asthetic over the blue one of the past. The Foursquare blog shares the following information about their latest effort:
"The new app has all the best Foursquare features, each tailored for the Metro UI — beautiful maps, great insider tips, trending places, and more. Some of the Lumia models even integrate Foursquare data into their augmented reality experience (!!!), so it feels like you’re in the future when you’re finding cool places and money-saving deals."
The app can be downloaded here.
