Fraps 3.0.0, compatible with Windows 7 and the latest DirectX 11 games, has just been released. Featuring a new look and new functions, the useful freeware is available for download here.
Useful additions to Frap 3.0.0 are “Stereoscopic 3D Vision video capture of
up to 1920×1200 for D3D9 games” and “its ability to mix both game sound
and external input such as microphone” under a Vista/Win 7 environment.
For those who do not know, Fraps is Windows freeware (you have to pay
USD$37 for the full functionality) that can be used with games using
DirectX or OpenGL graphic technology. It is commonly used as a
benchmarking software for overclockers to ascertain performance gains
from overclocking both their CPUs and GPUs. In addition, Fraps also
allow users to capture game screenshots and realtime in-game video with
the press of a key. Definitely a good to have freeware in your PC!
