Fujitsu unveils three new LIFEBOOK E Series flagship business notebooks

Fujitsu has released a new series of notebooks on its LIFEBOOK E lineup aimed to cater towards business travellers.

Fujitsu has unveiled three new LIFEBOOK E Series notebooks, the LIFEBOOK E753, LIFEBOOK E743 and LIFEBOOK E733 aimed at business travellers looking for a slim notebook offering "flexibility, durability and portability without compromising on performance". Lets take a closer look at what Fujitsu has packed in the notebooks.

Featuring Fujitsu's ‘Family Concept’, all three notebooks are almost the same in terms of hardware – apart from the screen sizes (LIFEBOOK E753 – 15.6-inches, LIFEBOOK E743 – 14-inches, LIFEBOOK E733 – 13.3-inches) and the inclusion of a HDMI-out port on the LIFEBOOK E753, all three notebooks offer the exact same BIOS, components and accessories. Fujitsu says that this allows owners to reduce the total cost of ownership of the notebooks as the accessories are interchangeable between the models, eliminating the need to purchase duplicate accessories for each of the notebooks.

Each notebook can also be customized to fit each user's specific needs, with Fujitsu giving the user a large amount of choices from software to hardware. Starting with the processor, one can choose from a low-end second generation i3-2348M to a high-end third generation i7-3632QM. Up to 16GB DIMM DDR3 1600MHz RAM is supported over 2 memory slots. Storage wise, one can choose from 320GB-500GB 5400rpm HDDs, a 500GB SSHD that comes with a 8GB SSD Cache and 128GB-512GB SSDs. On the connectivity side, one can choose from Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3G or 4G connectivity. The modular drive also supports accessories such as a DVD Super Multi, Blu-ray Disc Triple Writer, Weight saver, 2nd battery and a Bay Projector. An optional SmartCard slot, fingerprint sensor, TPM and built-in Full HD (2.073 megapixel) Microsoft® Lync™ webcam is also available for those who need it.

Moving on to standard options, all 3 notebooks pack a large array of interfaces (1 USB 2.0 and 3 USB 3.0 ports, one of which having Anytime USB Charge functionality, 1 VGA and 1 DisplayPort outputs, 1 Ethernet port, 1 SIM card slot usable with 3G or 4G, 1 memory card slot, 1 audio line-in/mic and 1 audio line-out/headphone port). Kensington Lock support is also included for users who need to leave the laptop in public places. A set of stereo speakers and two digital array microphones is also included. All three notebooks are rated with a runtime of up to 13 hours and minimum weight varies from 1.7kg to 2.0kg depending on the model.

The E Series can be purchased at all authorised retailers starting June 2013 with a price starting from S$2,599 GST inclusive.
