Chandrasekar Rathakrishnan, Chief Executive of Fusion Garage, held a web conference this morning and gave his company's side of the story about the Cruchpad dispute with Michael Arrington from TechCrunch. And the best thing was Rathakrishnan unveiling the 12.1-inch touchscreen tablet called Joo Joo (formerly Crunchpad).

According to Chandrasekar Rathakrishnan, Chief Executive of Fusion Garage, there were discussions that TechCrunch may acquire Fusion Garage, but nothing materialized.

"Michael made many promises suggesting he will deliver on hardware, software and funding, none of which came true. We had to move on. [Fusion Garage] did the hardware. We had made the software. And we had secured the funding. Michael did not deliver on his promises, and we decided to move on our own." (L.A Times)

Rathakrishnan later introduced the new Joo Joo web tablet which boasts 12.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, 4GB SSD and weighs about 1.1kg. The boot up time is just 9 seconds compared to others and would only be available for pre-order starting from 11 December on their website. The price tag for Joo Joo is US$499 and expect the shipping to take about 8 to 11 weeks though.
