G.Skill says its TridentX memory kit hit 4073 MHz after some serious overclocking and plenty of LN2.

G.Skill has always been known as the king of the overclockers.

The enthusiast RAM maker has broken another barrier with its quad-channel TridentX RAM kit, hitting 4073 MHz. G.Skill said it accomplished this incredible feat using the new Intel i7-4960X CPU and ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard.

Here’s the screenshot from CPU-Z for validation.

Granted, running RAM this fast isn’t too good for its longevity.
