Samsung is rumored to release the Galaxy S4 Mini in Europe in late June.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 has not even been released yet and, already, there are rumors of a Galaxy S4 Mini release date. Rumors have been swirling that a smaller version of the flagship S4 would be released in Europe sometime after the full size version hits the shelves.
Samsung has confirmed that the S4 Mini will be for sale in Europe first, but gave no firm release date. However, reports are saying that it will be sometime in June of this year.
Samsung has also released a mini version of the S3 last year in select markets. It is to be noted that neither the Mini S3 nor Mini S4 will be available in the United States. With a massive 5-inch screen, the S4 may be just too big for some consumers. It is nearly impossible to fit in the front pocket of a pair of jeans. That is why Samsung has developed mini versions of their latest flagship devices.
While details are sketchy, the S4 Mini is rumored to have a 4.3-inch screen with 256ppi, which would rival any display put out by Apple or any other manufacturer. It is also rumored to have a 1.6GHz processor; come installed with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and will be available in both LTE and HSPA+.
Of course a smaller device should mean a smaller price, but Samsung has not given any indication as to what price it will sell the Mini S4 for.
Samsung certainly doesn’t want to take attention away from the full size S4, but if the rumors are true the Galaxy S4 Mini will be a powerhouse of a smartphone.
