NVIDIA’s next, and possibly final, GF10x chip, the GF108 has been listed on European e-tail. The listing is at Austrian store BA-Computer, with a Gigabye variant going for €73. Interestingly, the card is listed as “GTS430″, though this is most likely to be a typo. It is also an OC variant, which means the reference design could slot in around under the €70 mark. This puts it between the Radeon HD 5570 and 5670, though there are HD 5670s available for much less now.

The GT 430 is set to release on October 19th, but is most likely to be overshadowed by AMD’s big conference. Even without it, the GT 430 is once again a case of “too little, too late”, and being unable to outperform the generation-old HD 5670 is not where the GT 430 would have wanted to be. We can hope, though, that like the GTS 450 and GTX 460, NVIDIA will price the GT 430 very aggressively, possibly against the HD 5570. The GT 430 will likely be followed by the GT 420, which was mistakenly listed by NVIDIA one month ago.
