Reported by on Thursday, November 10 2011 1:18 pm

Last month, we first broke news of the GTX 560 Ti 448 Core. Sweclockers have now leaked detailed specifications for the upcoming GTX 560 Ti 448 Core. As revealed before, the GTX 560 448 is indeed a crippled GTX 570. However, surprisingly, it features identical clocks to the GTX 570, and reportedly a slightly higher clocked memory despite featuring the same 320-bit memory interface.

That means the GTX 560 Ti features 730 MHz core, 1460 MHz shaders. Like the vanilla GTX 570, the 560 Ti 448 features 1280 MB memory, albeit mated to 3.8 GHz GDDR5 as opposed to 3.6 GHz for the GTX 570. Disabling one SM saves the GTX 560 Ti 448 9W for a "max power consumption" of 210W - a full 40W higher than the original GTX 560 Ti.

Performance and pricing are both expected to be right in between GTX 560 Ti and GTX 570. This could mean pricing in the ~$280 region, essentially competing with overclocked Radeon HD 6950 2GB variants. However, our sources suggest the GTX 560 Ti 448 Core will be a very limited edition with less than ten thousand units available worldwide. AICs are free to use non-reference designs and we can also hope they can do something to adequately differentiate the 448 cores' nomenclature from the six other GTX 560 cards, while stocks last.
