Planning to buy a Galaxy S4 but want a slightly customized, more personalized version of it (other than personalizing the software)? What if I told you that a company called ColorWare exists just to serve you personalized phone wants.
Samsung sells their flagship Galaxy S4 in two distinct flavors, black and white (the names they use are admittedly far more fancy). However, if you’re looking for a more personalized paint job that suits your tongue, ColorWare is ready to serve you.
For a $1000 (quite steep huh), ColorWare will make your personalized version of the Galaxy S4. You can choose over 46 solid and metallic colors and can even preview the final look of the phone before you purchase it. Customization even allows you to choose whether you want a matte or glossy finish which is certainly impressive. All units sold are GSM/unlocked and shipped within 14 days.
Here’s the company’s official statement as to why the phone costs a whole of $1000:
“The product goes through a laborious process of disassembly, cleaning, masking, painting, and inspection. Then, the product is buffed and reassembled. The product goes through final inspection and then is packaged into the original packaging.”
So what do you feel? Are you willing to spend $1000 to own a customized version of the Galaxy S4 (or any phone for that matter)? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
