Chinese Giada is anything but a prolific motherboard maker outside of mainland China, at least not to our knowledge, but the company keeps coming up with interesting mini-ITX motherboard designs. The latest addition is the MI-Z68 which is exactly what you think it is.

By some feat of engineering the company has managed to squeeze in an mSATA slot while still kitting out the board with two full-size DIMMs, four SATA ports and a x16 PCI Express slot. The mSATA slot means that you can take advantage of Intel's Smart Response technology on this tiny motherboard. What will potentially be even more interesting to see is how much third party mSATA SSDs will cost as you could potentially build a drive free system with this board.

The rear I/O holds no great surprises with a single PS/2 port, four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF and finally a DVI and HDMI port. Overall this is looking like a pretty decent board and we didn't notice any corners having been cut, as the board is using all solid capactitors and otherwise mostly decent looking components. Hopefully we'll be seeing Giada gain some traction with some broader availabilty since at least for consumers, competition is a good thing.
