Ah yes, spring is coming and so are the upgraded netbooks and tablets with Intel Atom processors and the latest model to get a processor bump is Gigabyte's S1080 Windows tablet which from now on will be known as the S1081. Gigabyte has upgraded the processor from an Atom N570 to an Atom N2800 bumping the clock speed up by 200MHz. This also means improved graphics of course, as well as support for up to 4GB of DDR3 memory which should make Windows 7 run a bit smoother. And HDMI port has also been added, as it should be on a Cedar Trail device.

Other minor additions include options for either a larger 500GB hard drive or a 256GB SSD and Bluetooth 4.0 support. The rest of the specifications appear to remain the same, but the optional docking station has also been upgraded with an HDMI port. No word on pricing or availability, but we would guess that it's not too far away.
