GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship 2010: Asia & Africa Regional Finals

In order to achieve better overclocking, many of the contestants performed additional modifications to the GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 mainboard CPU Voltage Regulation Module (VRM).
With the Over Current Protection (OCP) adjusted, overclockers are able to run their microprocessor at higher frequencies without tripping the mainboard CPU VRM.
We found bartman1973 with a really old school soldering iron in hand. There was a little trouble with the solder wetting.
sup3rfly was quick to lend a hand with some solder flux. How is that for sportsmanship!
bob(nz) brought along some really cool lighted goggles to aid him with the work.
On Gyrock‘s table was a really cute-looking soldering iron with built-in LED lighting.
