Gigabyte, well known amongst enthusiasts for its performance motherboards, is preparing the environmentally friendly Odin Plus series of power supplies for launch.
Available in 500W, 600W and 700W, they are 80Plus Bronze certified and feature three 12V rails*, Japan-made solid capacitors for longevity, sleeved cables, active PFC and integrated protection against over-voltage, over-current, under-voltage and short-circuits.
All Odin Plus PSUs are equipped with one 24-pin motherboard connector, one 4+4-pin +12V CPU connector, one 4-pin Floppy connector, two (6+2)-pin PCI-E 2.0 connectors, four 4-pin peripheral connectors (three for the 500W) and six SATA connectors (four for the 500W) and is cooled by an embedded 120mm transparent fan with blue LED. Availability has not been confirmed but they are expected to cost between 110 and 140 Euro.
*For 500W & 600W models. 700W variants have four 12V rails for higher power output
