Looks like Google is partnering up with LG once again to develop their next generation Nexus smartphone, LG Nexus 5.

Korea Times reports that Google CEO Larry Page had a little chat with Koo Bon-Joon, CEO of LG Electronics. Their meeting, which happened in Page's recent trip to South Korea went on for more than an hour in which they reportedly discussed ways to improve their business partnership, and projects such as Google Glass, LG-Google OLED TV and possibly the next generation Nexus 5 smartphone.

"LG needs help from Google to continue its business momentum in smartphones and TVs. That’s why Koo met Page,” said the sources.

Korea Times went on to add that “Currently, the consumer electronics arm of LG Group is working with Internet-giant Google to make another Nexus-branded Google Android smartphone. LG is seeking to expand its partnership in TVs and future businesses, such as Google Glass,” in their report.

LG previously partnered with Google to produce the problem-laden yet massively popular Nexus 4 smartphone last fall, eliminating Samsung's near hat-trick streak of producing Google Nexus branded smartphones. We hope to see the LG Nexus 5 in action later this year, perhaps in Q3 2013. Specifications would be expected of a 2013 flagship, i.e. 1080p display, quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM, not to mention the latest Android OS version (perhaps Android 5.0).
