You probably know that Google has two smartphone products under its name – Nexus One and the Nexus S. But it seems that the search engine giant is coming up with a Nexus tablet device and it is rumored that it could be manufactured by LG.
Google has had two smartphones under its wings, namely the Nexus One, and the newer Nexus S that comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. And both products in the Nexus series have gotten a lot of attention. It seems that Google is preparing to come up with a Nexus tablet too. According to Mobile-Review, Google is collaborating with LG to produce the Google Nexus tablet, scheduled to retail in Q2 or Q3 this year.
The Nexus tablet will be preloaded with Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. Even though the specific name has yet to be finalized, it looks like it would be known as the "Google Nexus Tablet".
There's no details as to the specifications or features of the Google Nexus Tablet yet. But in August last year, there had been discussions in Taiwan about a Nexus Tablet; this probably means that Google may have approached HTC to manufacture the Nexus Tablet, but due to unforeseen circumstances and reasons, the company turned to LG instead.
