Recent rumors allege that the Nexus 5 will retail for $399 for the 16 GB model and $449 for the 32 GB variant. An LTE version of the Nexus 4 will also be unveiled alongside the Nexus 5.
According to tech news site AndroidGeeks, the 16 GB version of the Nexus 5 will cost $399, while the 32 GB model will be on sale for $449.
It has been said that the higher price point is due to the launch of the LTE version of the Nexus 4, which will cost $299 for the 16 GB version and $349 for the 32 GB variant. If this rumor turns out to be true, then we will see a 32GB Nexus 4 for the first time.
Earlier rumors indicated that the Nexus 5 16 GB model would cost $299 and would come with a 2,300 mAh battery, with the 32 GB variant costing $399 and coming with a larger 3,000 mAh battery. At this stage, all that we can be sure of is the fact that there is no mention of an 8 GB model, which should come as good news for everyone waiting for the next Nexus device.
The original announcement date for Android 4.4 KitKat and Nexus 5 was set for October 15, and considering there were no invitations that were sent out and no official releases, we can safely assume the launch date will likely be October 31. Also rumored to be unveiled at the event is a smartwatch that is codenamed Google Gem that is set to heavily integrate with Google Now.
