If you are using Google Search today, you may have noticed that the search results appear faster even before you finished keying in the search term completely. Well, that is thanks to the search engine giant implementation of Google Instant, and will help users save time.
Update: The mystery of the animated Google Doodle has been unraveled! And yes, it is about the update to the Google Search – Google Instant.
Google Instant is the latest implementation that provides users the search results even before they finished typing out the search term. It predicts the most likely completion of the term and streams results in real-time.
According to the company, the features include:-
Dynamic Results – Google dynamically displays relevant search results as you type so you can quickly interact and click through to the web content you need.
Predictions – One of the key technologies in Google Instant is that we predict the rest of your query (in light gray text) before you finish typing. See what you need? Stop typing, look down and find what you’re looking for.
Scroll to search – Scroll through predictions and see results instantly for each as you arrow down.
On top of that, Google Instant claims to save the average searcher two to five seconds per search, and adding up, would be about 11 hours with each passing second for users. Google Instant will become the core search experience on Google.com for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE 8 web browsers.
