Japanese company Green House unveiled its SSD32A series of SandForce-driven consumer SSDs. Built in the conventional 9.5 mm-thick, 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6 Gb/s interface, the series covers most price-points.

The SSD32A series from Green House is based on the trusty SandForce SF-2281VB1 processor, with MLC NAND flash arranged in an 8-channel configuration. It is available in 60 GB (GH-SSD32A60), 120 GB (GH-SSD32A120), 240 GB (GH-SSD32A240) and 480 GB (GH-SSD32A480) capacities. Sequential speeds vary with models: 

  • 60 GB: 550 MB/s reads with 480 MB/s writes
  • 120 GB and 240 GB: 550 MB/s reads with 500 MB/s writes
  • 480 GB: 540 MB/s reads with 420 MB/s writes

Apart from the sequential speeds on offer, the SSD32A series come with the usual SandForce feature-set, which includes TRIM, NCQ, SMART, 55-bit / 512-byte ECC, and 128-bit AES data encryption.

Backed by 3-year warranty, the SSD32A series from Green House will be available from early-October. The company did not finalise pricing.
