GTX 460 768 MB listings appear in European E-tail

Reported by on Sunday, July 4 2010 10:00 pm

Not for the first time, several European e-tailers have jumped the gun and put up a graphics card for sale well before its release date. This time, the victim is Nvidia's upcoming Geforce GTX 460. Previously expected to release in 768 MB and 1 GB variants, recent rumours suggest that the 768 MB will release first, followed by non-reference 1GB variants later. This suggestion is backed by the fact that all GTX 460s listed are the 768 MB model. The price? The average seems to be about €210. More details next page...

Recent rumours suggest that the GTX 460 768 MB may be priced as low as $199. However, judging by the early European prices, $230 - or the same as the HD 5830 - seems like a more realistic price. Needless to say, a lot can change as we lead up to the 12th July release date.

Even at $230/€200, the GTX 460 768 MB could make a very competitive graphics card, and certainly Nvidia's best GPU in a long time.

Listings can be viewed at Fudzilla.
