Halo fans are you ready for some free DLCs?  Well, at least that’s what a slide from Microsoft’s ExpertZone states.

In Halo 4, there will be a mode called “Spartan Ops” which are additional missions that can be downloaded periodically.  Every week for 10 weeks, Spartan Ops will offer 5 new missions which players can play in single or co-op mode.  Ten DLCs will be offered, and if you did the math, that’s 50 extra missions.  The price you ask?  Well, it’s free!

“Spartan Ops is a great way to extend your single or co-op multiplayer experience.  Each week, the Spartan Ops team will deliver 5 new missions for you to complete.  These missions are introduced with a high-quality cinematic video so that you are well-briefed before you embark on your mission.  Oh, and unlike most other games out there, season 1 of Spartan Ops is 100% free!  How many games give you free DLC for 10 weeks?

So what does this mean to you and your customer?

Spartan Ops increase game value and overall enjoyment of Halo 4 with up to 12 hours of incremental gameplay in either single player or co-op multiplayer mode.

It’s like getting two campaigns with one game!”

343 took over Bungie’s duties in concocting the next Halo, and surely they, along with Microsoft, know how to touch a gamer’s heart—free stuff!
