Harmon Kardon is no new player in the home theater market and has decided to jump into pushing the Blu-ray market as well.

Introducing the BDP10,
it got all the features you know and love in Blu-ray: BD-Live and
Bonus View for online content, advanced audio codec
support.

The level of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD support is unknown, although the
BDP 10 will be able to handle bitstream versions of these surround sound
formats. As expected, the Profile 2.0 Blu-ray disc player will upscale
DVDs to 1080p quality.

Connections include an HDMI 1.3a with x.v.Color output, component and
RCA video outputs, an Ethernet jack, coaxial and optical audio outputs
as well as traditional two-channel analog audio output.

The player will be available sometime in May in Europe at a price of US$940, no definite date has been set for North America yet
