If you have an iPhone and uses the Hilton and Doubletree application, you can now go on a virtual tour of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties around the world with the highly-interactive "Stay Hilton, Go Anywhere" iAd, including Egypt, Venice and Puerto Rico. On top of that, Twitter and e-mail integration and downloadable wallpaper.
Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of iAd as an extension of its "Stay Hilton, Go Everywhere" global multi-channel campaign. iAd is Apple's mobile advertising network that has a reach to millions of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. The iAd campaigns combine the storytelling power of TV with the engagement of digital, so that users can enter a unique, immersive ad with a variety of rich interactive experiences. The highly-interactive "Stay Hilton, Go Anywhere" iAd for users in the U.S. and U.K. brings them on virtual vacations at Hilton hotels and resorts around the world, including Egypt, Venice and Puerto Rico.
A compass rose at the bottom of the screen points toward a country name accompanied by a beautiful image, with other destinations moving into view as the user moves their device or themselves to the left or right. The iAd claims to be the first to use the built-in, three-axis gyroscope of iPhone and iPad as the core navigational element of the ad. A total of nine signature Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties around the world can be explored in the iAd via inspired visual imagery and interactive features including Twitter and e-mail integration and downloadable wallpaper.
