HIS Excalibur X800 Pro IceQ II VIVO Review

The way to turn the Radeon X800 Pro into a XT PE was discovered in May where we
have posted a news article
here but not
many people have success in doing this mod. However, in the recent months, the
X800 Pro VIVO edition appears on the shelves and the good thing is that the
bridge is uncut therefore no hard mod is needed. A BIOS flash is all needed to
turn this card into an XT PE. A good article showing you how to do this mod can
be found

here
. The author, W1zzard mentioned that there is an unreleased method in
modding the X800 Pro VIVO without using the Bios/flashing tool method so perhaps
the next version of ATiTool 0.0.21 might be able to do so.

The HIS Excalibur Radeon X800 Pro VIVO edition is turned into an XT PE instantly
after i flashed the XT BIOS into this card. Using the ATi Tool to double check,
full 16 pipeline is now detected and the GPU/Mem clock is raised from 475/900Mhz
to 520/1120Mhz.

Under the Catalyst 4.9 Beta, there is an OVERDRIVE function to
enable you to overclock the card automatically and it allows another 5Mhz to be
squeezed out of the card.
