HP Personal Systems Group unveils vision, strategy and latest products in Singapore
Today, HP Personal Systems Group (PSG) has a media event to showcase their latest products, share the company's vision and also the strategy in Singapore. Read on for the coverage.
Serena Yong, general manager, Personal Systems Group, HP Singapore, gave an opening speech and said that the company is number one PC company in Singapore, number one in workstations and also desktop PCs.
"Our success is underpinned by the mission to drive for marketshare and profitable growth. Our vision is to transform how people think, feel and connect. This is to provide a unified experience whether they are at work, on the go, or at home. In the future, we would put our vision into context, which is to give the best mobile experience to all our integrated devices as well as across the devices. And now with the WebOS, we should be able to scale, increase our footprint in 2011, and extend the WebOS not just for the smartphones, but to the PC, laptops and even to the printers," Yong said.
Ang Sue San, category director, Personal Systems Group, HP Singapore also introduced eight innovations of the new products including USB3.0, CoolSense technology, HP ProtectSmart, HP SimplePass, GDDR5, DLNA certification, Intel Widi and powerful audio experiences (with Beats Audio).
One of the main attractions is the HP TouchSmart610 consumer PC which can recline from upright to almost flat for increased comfort even during long usage. The display can recline at up to 60-degree and forward-tilt at up to 5-degree.
The HP Pavilion dv4 features AMD Radeon 6750M graphics with 1GB GDDR5 video memory, which boasts higher graphics performance compared to the older graphics with GDDR3 memory.
Pricing and availability
- The HP Pavilion dv4 starts from S$1,299 and will be available from March 2011 in Singapore.
- The HP Pavilion dv6 starts from S$1,799 and will be available from March 2011 in Singapore.
- The HP Pavilion g4 starts from S$1,099 and will be available from March 2011 in Singapore.
- The HP TouchSmart610 Consumer PC starts from S$1,899 and will be available from March 2011 in Singapore.
No word on the pricing and availability of the HP TouchPad here in Singapore, which was showcased at "A New HP World" event in Shanghai, China last month.
