Our review unit comes in an attractive merlot red finish and sports a 14-inch LED-backlit LCD display that supports 1366×768 pixel resolution. The ProBook 4411s weighs approximately 2.27kg which is slightly heavy for a business laptop.
A 2-megapixel webcam and integrated microphone are above the display for video call.
Above is the left view of the ProBook 4411s and here we find the Kensington lock slot, RJ-45 network jack, VGA out, HDMI port, two USB ports and an ExpressCard/34 slot.
On the right are two more USB ports, a Super Multi DVD+/-RW DL optical drive with Lightscribe, and the power connector.
The hard disk activity light (cyan), Wi-Fi switch (with orange LED light), 4-in-1 memory card reader that supports SD, MS, Memory Stick Pro, MMC and xD-Picture, and audio ports – headphones and microphone – are on the front left of the 4411s.
The chiclet-style keyboard looks like a popular choice for notebook/netbook these days that the ProBook 4411s also came with it. The touchpad with buttons are below the keyboard while the power and QuickLook 2 buttons are above it. The QuickLook 2 buttons allows user to quickly access email, calendar, contacts and task information.
The base is an entire piece with no screws, which means that you can’t upgrade the memory or replace the hard disk manually.
Internally, the ProBook 4411s is equipped with 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo T6570 processor, 3GB DDR2 memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 (512MB VRAM) and 500GB SATA hard disk. It is also preinstalled with Windows Vista Business operating system.
