HP's new WebOS tablet will come in the form of Topaz. It will be running 1.2GHz  Qualcomm processor and comes with 512MB DDR2 memory and up to 64GB eMMC storage.

HP will be holding a press conference on 9 February, just days before Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. The press conference will focus on mobile devices including smartphones, tablet PCs, WebOS printer as well as the WebOS operating system. Following the leak of the Topaz tablet, the specifications of the mobile device are also out from the bag.

According to the specifications, the HP Topaz will be preloaded with WebOS 2.0 (and above) mobile operating system and equipped with 1.2GHz dual core processor and 512MB memory. The tablet will have the same 9.7-inch display as the Apple iPad, and also same 1024×768 screen resolution. However, the Topaz is slightly larger than the iPad, measuring 190x240x13.7mm and comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. The HP Topaz does not have a rear camera, but a 1.3-megapixel front camera for Skype and Gtalk video calls.

The Topaz will also support Touchstone inductive charging and the company is developing "Touchstone v2" that supports additional functionality including wireless charging, wireless audio and video streaming and wireless printing.
