SingTel and HTC launch HTC Dream Android phone

It was just two weeks ago that SingTel and HTC announced the HTC Dream Android phone which is soon to arrive in Singapore. And today, that has become official; you can purchase the HTC Dream from tomorrow at SingTel retail stores.

The HTC Dream launch event was held at SingTel office this afternoon and the launching ceremony was officiated by Lori Sobel, Managing Director, Google Southeast Asia; Yuen Kuan Moon, Chief of Consumer, SingTel and CEO of SingTel Mobile; Janet Yang, Operations Director, HTC Corp.

In addition to the preloaded suite of Google applications – Web Search, Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Talk; SingTel users can also enjoy localized apps including video-on-demand through mio TV on Mobile, Foyage and SG SavvyShopper. Foyage allows users to locate their friends in the vicinity, send messages and find surrounding places of Interest such as shops and restaurants, while SG SavvyShopper provides users with fast search and pricing information on products by simply scanning the product barcode with the phone.

The HTC Dream phone will be on sale on 21 Feb at SingTel retail stores island-wide.
