Taiwanese phone and tablet manufacturer HTC has sent out media invite for an event that will take place in New York, USA, on 20 September. Only the tagline "Come celebrate in style with HTC" is stated, so it is everyone's guess on what the company could be announcing.
HTC's autumn product launch has been confirmed, on 20 September in New York, and the event could be focusing on the latest version of HTC Sense UI, products incorporating Beats by Dr. Dre audio, and female-focused mobile phones. The new HTC Sense UI will be greatly optimized and will be less "harsh" in terms of hardware requirements; the minimum supported configuration is MSM7227 processor, 384MB RAM, which means that even the older devices like HTC Legend can also support.
Last month, HTC used US$300 million to acquire 51% stake in Beats by Dr. Dre. And it is possible that the company will showcase new products incorporating the Beats audio technology. However, it is still not known if the new products would be compatible with Beats headphones. Most of their products are catered to the male users, though this quarter, the HTC Bliss, which was leaked online, is designed for ladies. The HTC Bliss does not only feature mobile phone themes, wallpapers, ring tones and custom software for the female users, but also in the hardware aspect like notification lights. The company could also be announcing the HTC Vigor, HTC Ruby and HTC Holiday. Well, we would only know next week.
