From Touch Diamond to Pro, and now the HD. This latest mobile phone from HTC claims superb multimedia offerings for mobile users who cannot live without looking at youtube videos and their holiday photos. And we managed to get it in for review this week.

HTC announced their latest Touch HD in November, but the product only started selling in the shops early this month.

The HTC Touch HD is designed as an entertainment mobile phone with a minimalist design, but offers abundant features and superb performance to satisfy multimedia-hungry users on the move.

Even though the manufacturer did not reveal what HD means exactly, most could guess that it stands for High-Definition (high resolution images and videos).

The HD aspect actually goes along with one of Touch HD’s distinct features, its 3.8-inch widescreen VGA (480×800) display that promises better quality image and video viewing. It is the first in HTC’s line of Touch phone with such screen size, and is also slightly larger than Apple iPhone 3.5-inch (480×320) and Samsung Omnia’s 3.2-inch (400×240) displays.
