HTC Desire HD
The HTC Desire HD (above pic) and the Desire Z are both running the latest Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system. The Desire HD sports a 4.3-inch vivid display and comes with SRS Surround audio to give a superb multimedia entertainment experience.
At the rear is the 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. The phone can record up to 720p high definition videos too.
At the top is the power button, while the speaker and a front-facing camera for video calls, are located just above the huge display.
HTC Desire Z
Unlike the Desire HD, the Desire Z features a Z-slider QWERTY keyboard for users who find it easier to type their messages and emails. Yes, it also has a touchscreen if you prefer to use the onscreen keyboard.
Below the screen are the Home, Menu, Back and Zoom buttons, while a trackpad is available for ease of navigation.
Unlike most smartphones with the slideout keyboard, you can see that the Desire Z uses unique hinges to slide out the text input device.
The HTC Desire HD will retail at S$888, while the Desire Z has a price tag of S$868, before telco subsidies. Both phones will be available next month, in November.
