HTC Zara press render and specs spotted online

A tweet from infamous leaker @evleaks revealed the press render and hardware details for HTC Zara, which will likely be announced sometime during Q4 2013.

According to the tweet, HTC Zara will feature a 4.5-inch qHD screen (960X540) and features the Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 chip. This includes a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and an Adreno 305 GPU. HTC’s One mini also featured the same SoC, albeit with a higher clocked CPU. The Zara also comes with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, and a micro-SD card slot, which is a deviation from the norm for HTC. The mobile will also have an 8-megapixel camera at the back, a 2,100 mAh battery and will likely feature the BoomSound speakers. It has also been rumored that the HTC Zara will come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean along with Sense 5.5 UI.

While the exact availability isn’t announced yet, it is likely that the Zara will be unveiled sometime in the fourth quarter. An earlier tweet by @evleaks mentioned that the device will be launched on Sprint in the U.S.
