The Huawei IDEOS X6, which runs Android 2.2 Froyo, was launched near the end of 2010. The smartphone has been on sale in Australia and the company has intended to promote it in North America, after CES 2011. The IDEOS X6 was sent to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to ensure it meets the proper requirements, and recently got approved. For those of you staying in US, you will be seeing the IDEOS X6 on the shelves soon.

The Huawei IDEOS X6 sports a squarish form factor design which can be easily mistaken as a Windows Phone 7 device. It sports a 4.1-inch WVGA (800x480) capacitive touchscreen and is equipped with 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM. The smartphone also runs Android 2.2 and its web browser claims to support Adobe Flash 10.1.

Measuring just 10mm thin, the IDEOS X6 has a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, supports 720p high definition recording, and features GPS, HDMI out, micro USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
