Intel 18 s IDF Taiwan : PCI Express Galore

First of all, Intel for the first
time has demonstrated Prescott running on a Grantsdale board with ATi PCI
Express card during the keynote speech on Day 1.

PCIExpress 2 s IDF Taiwan : PCI Express Galore

Here is a demo system of the
Tumwater board running on Nocona processor with ATi PCI Express card. As we know
Nocona is the next generation Xeon processor on 90nm micron process and Tumwater
is a PCI Express based chipset supporting DDR2.

PCIExpress 5 s IDF Taiwan : PCI Express Galore

Check out the card and the PCI
Express x16 slot. The memory used on the card is Samsung -GC2A.

PCIExpress 3 s IDF Taiwan : PCI Express Galore

A further investigation on the
mysterious ATi PCI Express card revealed that it is in fact a RV380 card with
128MB of DDR memory. This next generation ATi graphics card to be available
early next year.

PCIExpress 4 s IDF Taiwan : PCI Express Galore

Last but not least, we took a
sneak peek at the Grantsdale reference board running on DDR2 memory. On the
board, we can see a PCI Express x16 slot, 4 x DDR2 DIMM slot. We can’t
identify the processor at the point of time but it could a LGA 775 Prescott in
Socket T.
