iMovie App for iPhone Updated, Now Allows Clip Splitting

When iMovie for the iPhone was released, it brought HD video editing to the smartphone, a platform not usually known for its processing power. Today, Apple has released an update for iMovie which is sure to delight smartphone video fans – the ability to split video clips during the editing process.

If you are the kind of person who loves shooting HD video clips on your iPhone, Apple's latest update for its iMovie app will no doubt be of great news.

According to Apple, the new version of iMovie, version 1.1, adds the ability to split video clips, Scrub to preview clips in Video Browser, an updated Photo Browser and additional improvements for greater performance and reliability. Oh, and it also adds support for the fourth generation iPod Touch, so iPod owners can also get in on the fun of video editing.

The updated app is currently available for download on iTunes for US$4.99.
