What happens when you put a group of hardware enthusiast together with the latest product innovations?
The result is the Power Users Gathering (PUG). Together with AMD and ASUS, VR-Zone held the inaugural Power Users Gathering last Saturday at a beautiful place called Burlington Square Singapore.
VR-Zone’s forum community grew over the years with the support of hardware enthusiast. Apart from the online interaction and online discussions, most hardware enthusiasts never had seen each other in real life. To bridge this gap, the concept of the Power Users Gathering is brewed.
We have extended the invitation to several important figures of our forums that represents the spirit of the hardware enthusiast community. We are glad they took their precious time off during the weekend for this gathering.
We are also honored to have the presence of Mr John Taylor, Director of Public Relations, AMD who flew from the United States. Mr Taylor gave an overview of AMD’s Dragon Platform, the performance advantages of AMD platform and innovations from AMD. Users are also given an insight on AMD’s energy efficiency innovations, infrastructure compatibility, ATI advantage and DX11 readiness. Be very afraid, Nvidia, is the message sent.
ASUS also show cased their latest product which would send every hardware enthusiast drooling: ASUS EAH4890 Formula Graphics Card and ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard which utilizes AMD 785 chipset.
Mr Lance Yap, Product Manager of ASUS gave a presentation about ASUS motherboard innovations and the technical breakthroughs of ASUS engineering team. Check out “Any Motherboard” video:
