Inno3D (Innovision Multimedia Ltd) has recently launched a new line of enthusiast graphic cards, dubbed the Inno3D IChill. Recently, Visionary had a chance to speak to Caroline Kwok, marketing manager of Innovision on the establishment of this iChill series. You can read more about the interview here if you’ve missed it.

After the Interview was done, Inno3D was also kind enough to send us one of their very first graphic cards from the iChill series, the iChill7900GS 256MB for our review perusal. At the same time, we also managed to lay our hands on the latest mainboard offering from Inno3D, the InnoD 680i mainboard. In this very article, we will be taking a close look at the performance of the two items hand in hand. Before we continue, let me introduce the items briefly to you.

The iChil cooler in all its glory

Inno3D has chosen to send us their Arctic Cooling Rendition of the iChill 7900GS series. Fitted with a custom NV Silencer 6 cooler with a white blower and black shroud, Inno3D has successfully given their cards a very classy feel. Of course, the card doesn’t just boast of looks without substance; the iChill 7900GS NV6 edition comes pre-overclocked at 550Mhz/1500Mhz from the default clocks of 450/1320Mhz. Temperatures are also kept at bay with the beefy AC cooling solution, for which we’ll look into detail in the later part of the review.

6 Inno3D nForce 680i & iChill 7900GS Combo!

The Inno3D 680i mainboard is based on Nvidia’s very own reference design, and is similar to the eVGA mainboard that we have reviewed a while ago. Featuring some pretty beefy voltages as well as other features such as HD-Audio, Dual GBe LAN and a heatpipe cooling solution, the Inno3D 680i is one of the cheapest 680i mainboards in the market.
