Intel Cans IDF Taipei This Year – No Budget

Intel has decided to cancel IDF Taiwan 2009 originally slated for November, as part of its ongoing cost reduction efforts amid the global slowdown according to DigiTimes. The move comes as a surprise to many Taiwan PC and motherboard makers. However, Intel insisted that it will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Taiwan’s government and local IT makers to sustain continuing industry growth and technology exchange. This will be achieved through Intel’s presence at the Computex Taipei 2009 and other technology seminars and activities.
