Intel Confirms New Branding For Core Processors

It is official as Intel have updated on their website for their Core processors. With a vision of - Fewer Brands, Greater Impact. Intel defines 3 processor levels – Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Intel® Core™ i5 processor and Intel® Core™ i3 processor.

It is official as Intel have updated on their website for their Core processors. With a vision of - Fewer Brands, Greater Impact. Intel defines 3 processor levels – Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Intel® Core™ i5 processor and Intel® Core™ i3 processor.

Lynnfield chipsets will be either i5 or i7 depending on the feature set, Clarkfield mobile chips will be i7, and 32nm Arrandale will fall under i3.

Intel Centrino will become the new name for our WiFi and WiMAX wireless product lines beginning in 2010.
