Intel plans to introduce model numbering for its desktop processors from
second half of this year onwards. Intel model number is called “processor
number” which is indicated by the 3 numbers at the back of the brand name. The
processor numbering scheme looks like this :

7xx series High end
5xx series Main stream
3xx series Value

Celeron will be alloted for the 3xx series, Desktop Prescott for the 5xx
series and Extreme Edition for the 7xx series. Dothan for Mobile PC may be using
the same 7xx series like the Extreme Edition.
