presler Intel Presler 9xx CPUs Not Exceeding 4GHz

Intel has informed HKEPC that they will not exceed 4GHz with their new dual core 9XX processors manufacturered using the 65NM process within the Year 2006.. The Presler will me using a Multi -chip package instead of a single package, L2 Cache will be 2MB x2 instead of 1MB x2 that’s found on the smithfield. It will also be the first processor to support 3T(HT,VT,LT).

Like the current Dual core intel processors, the Presler will be using the Pentium D & Pentium XE product names, but the difference will not only be the presence of Hyperthreading in the Pentium XE processors. Intead, the Intel Pentium XE will feature a bus speed of 1066MHz and HT, wheras the Pentium D will still be based on the 800MHz Bus and no HT will be implemented, like the current Smithfields.
