In what should be no surprise, Intel has reported record revenues for full year of 2011 - $54 billion. This is a massive $10.6 billion or 24% up over 2010.

In what should be no surprise, Intel has reported record revenues for full year of 2011 - $54 billion. This is a massive $10.6 billion or 24% up over 2010.

While gross margin was down 1.9%, operating income was still up 12%. Net income grew to $12.9 billion (GAAP), up 13% over 2010. Quarterly revenus for Q4 2011 were up 21% year-over-year to $13.9 billion. However, it is down from the record Q3 2011 revenues

The only unit at Intel that regressed was Atom with revenues down 25% from 2010, no doubt to pressure from AMD's C and E series from above and ARM from below. However, in addition to Ivy Bridge and ultrabooks, Intel hopes Atom in smartphones and tablets will be a growth area for 2012.
