(Impress, Intel) Intel has confirmed in the latest product change notifications (PCN) that both Core i7 965 Extreme Edition and 940 will see their last order in 4th September this year.

Core i7 is Intel's latest lineup of their processor series with makes it first introduction in Novemeber 2008, both top end models will be discontinued and other models will be taking over.
