From 6pm this evening, you probably noticed ten “live” mannequins in the window displays outside TANGS Orchard, Singapore. Well, these ten fashion and technology bloggers are competing in different tasks using social media tools, and two bloggers with the most number of responses to their blog posts will stand to win attractive prizes.

SINGAPORE, July 17, 2009 – Intel, TANGS and Lenovo, today, launched a 24-hour challenge featuring ten fashion and technology bloggers as “live” mannequins. The Bloggers will compete in different tasks using social media tools while featured in the window displays at TANGS Orchard.
Held in conjunction with the launches of the TANGS new website (http://www.tangs.com.sg/) and Lenovo’s new IdeaPad U350 ultra-thin, ultra-light and ultra-loaded notebook which features the latest Intel® ultra-low voltage processor, the bloggers will have to compete by uploading content to the Blogathon site (www.tangs.com.sg/blogathon).
The bloggers will be using a 1-inch thin Lenovo IdeaPad U350 that carries a 16:9 high definition 13.3-inch LED screen and is HDMI-capable. It has Ambient Light Sensor technology that automatically adjusts screen brightness depending on the lighting environment. Entertainment takes center stage with its Intel® Core™2 Solo and Pentium ultra low voltage processors, up to 8GB high speed DDR3 memory and up to 500 GB of hard drive storage. For high reliability, Lenovo borrowed a component of ThinkPad design with the Active Protection System. This helps protect data by parking the hard drive if the laptop should fall.
About the Challenge
During the 24-hour time period, bloggers will be assigned various challenges such as playing the role of the TANGS Fashion Spy challenge, where bloggers will be tasked to spot and shoot stylish shoppers and post these pictures up on their blogs.
The two bloggers who accumulate the most number of responses to their blog posts within the time period or generate the most number of public votes will each stand to walk away with top prizes consisting of a Lenovo IdeaPad U350 laptop, S$300 TANGS voucher, and S$250 worth of Kiehl’s products. The winning bloggers will be also judged on the quality of their content and outcomes of the various challenges over the 24-hour period to become the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice winners.
Using the Lenovo IdeaPad U350, shoppers and passers-by will also have the chance to
directly engage with the bloggers through Twitter and other social media tools, providing them a first-hand opportunity to check out the new range of Lenovo’s ultra-thin notebooks at TANGS Orchard.
The Blogathon ends on July 18 2009 at 6 PM and the winner of the challenge will be
announced on www.tangs.com.sg/blogathon.
