iOS 5.1 might be released on March 9th

Along with the now more than likely announcement of Apple's iPad 3 within the first week of March, it looks like we could be seeing iOS 5.1 released around the same time – at least that's what a fresh discovery over at YourDailyMac is indicating.

Along with the now more than likely announcement of Apple's iPad 3 within the first week of March, it looks like we could be seeing iOS 5.1 released around the same time – at least that's what a fresh discovery over at YourDailyMac is indicating.

Apparently Apple has just published eleven new profiles for a number of iPhone-operators which are set to be released on March 9th. The profiles are designated for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G/4G, iPad and iPad 2 and are said to be compatible with iOS 5.1.

These profiles are said to update the network connection for the iPhone so that it continues to work correctly after jumping over to iOS 5.1. And normally when these profiles are released it is roughly the same time when the iOS update arrives, so we should be seeing that rolled out to the masses right around the March 9th date – which could also potentially be right about the same time as when Apple plans to formally announce the third-gen iPad.
