It’s supposedly “the world’s most advanced mobile operating system,” and the latest beta build (4) is now available for to developers.

IOS 6 beta build 4 (#10A5378e) for the iPhone 4S is about 280MB, and is currently upgradeable over the air (OTA)—although some users are having troubles installing it.

An official release of iOS 6 should be available by the time the iPhone 5 is announced.  Recent reports are rumoring that Apple may make an announcement regarding the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini come September 12, so hopefully a non-beta public build of iOS  will also be available on that day.

News on a different agenda has Apple removing YouTube from its iPhone and iPad iOS.  Apple states that its “license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended.”  The relationship between Google and Apple is going further and further south.

IOS 6 won’t come with the YouTube app installed, but Google released this statement: “We are working to ensure we have the best possible YouTube experience for iOS users.”  The possibility that Apple will remove the YouTube app totally is very slim—actually, it would be rather bad move to make YouTube unavailable to iOS users.

Google has no control over the YouTube app for the iOS, because Apple has been developing its own YouTube app using the technology Google released to developers.  Even if an official Apple developed YouTube app won’t be available, Google has stated that it is working on making another YouTube app available in the Apple Store.
