An iOS 7 benchmark has just appeared on GFXBench mere days away from the official announcement of the updated operating system.
WWDC is less than a week away and if for some reason you were looking for reassurance that iOS 7 would be officially unveiled to the masses, GSMarena has noticed a benchmark that has appeared for the soon-to-be announced iOS 7.
There’s no real useful information in the benchmark other than yet another piece of confirmation that the new version is expected to be unveiled in just a matter of days. The hotly anticipated update brings Jony Ive’s preference for minimalist design to an operating system that in the past has gone the opposite way with what is known as skeuomorphic design, which was definitely on the heavier side.
Just yesterday a possible (and very blurry) image of the homescreen leaked which showed off the flatter look of the icons, as well, the new WWDC 2013 app may offer a peak into what can be expected for iOS 7 apps going forward. You can take a look at the evolution of the WWDC app over the years here. The mystery of the new direction Apple is taking when it comes to the design of their OS will be solved in just a few days folks, hang tight.
